In this episode of 30s, Divorced & Dating Adaobi and I voiced our opinions on mental health during the pandemic. We shared different tips on how we have been able to cope. We had the pleasure of having Alexiss Kurtz-Hoggard who is the Principal Founder of Wake Them Up LLC. Alexiss grew up in N.E. Washington, D.C., and is a proud product of DC. Public Schools. Growing up in Washington, DC, she saw too many young, gifted, and black children who did not make it out of poverty. She advocates for equal access for low-income children, fair pay for women, and Black Mental Health. Her vision for Wake Them Up is to build a legacy through impacting young black girls by changing their perspective spiritual, healing, financial, and political coaching. She is a woman of faith. She is the wife of Sean Hoggard and the mother of Anaiyah Hoggard. She enjoys traveling, hiking, and practicing yoga as she is a self-proclaimed “Black Girl Hippie”.
