Do you need to be charismatic to be a good leader?

I answer that question in this episode!

"I’m not as charismatic as you...so I don’t think I can be a good leader."

This is probably one of the biggest myths about leadership.

When it comes to leading, charisma can actually be a bad thing.

(hear me out)

There’s a BIG difference between inspiring people and leading people.

Inspiration will only take you so far as a leader until the wheels fall off and people start hating you. (trust me, i’ve been there lol)

So, 2 takeaways:
1. If you’re charismatic, you CANNOT rely on that for your leadership
2. If you’re not naturally charismatic, that doesn’t mean you can’t be a good leader. (in fact, I’d argue that you’re more fundamentally set up to be a good leader)

The question I encourage you to ask yourself is: “Am I just inspiring people? Or am I being a real leader?"

"Do I have fundamental leadership principles that are setting me up for success?"

Listen to the episode to find out more about the difference and how you can use this to help you become a better leader.
