A Runner’s Life - Podcast tekijän mukaan Marcus Brown

This conversation is with Naomi Mitchell, who works as a chartered accountant, and concurrently is preparing for the GB Olympic marathon trials. She was a recreational runner who represented her club (Reading Athletic Club) in events like triple jump and steeplechase before transferring to the marathon distance. Her first five marathons she ran 2:54 (London 2016), 2:53 (London 2017), 2:49 (Berlin 2017), 3:01 (London 2018) and 2:48 (London 2019) before she achieved a breakthrough performance, running 2:37:51 in Frankfurt 2019. Naomi then went on to run a 4 minute personal best time at the elites only 2020 London Marathon, in a time of 2:33:23, to finish second Briton behind Natasha Cockram. We review this race and her goals moving forward. Naomi shared some great tips of how she went from the sub 3 range down to the 2.30 range. She provides insights in how to objectively view your training and the importance of running by feel. ————————————————————— Her social links are: Instagram: @Naomi.Sarah.Mitchell ————————————————————— This episode is sponsored by Tracksmith, a brand which actively represents and supports the development of a runner’s life in the running community.
