#95 - Alison Staples on the positive influence of running
A Runner’s Life - Podcast tekijän mukaan Marcus Brown
In episode 95, I speak with Alison Staples, who is a Baltimore native. She starting running aged 31. Dared by a friend, her very first race was the Baltimore Half Marathon. The hills of Baltimore made the experience challenging, but the pride she got from hobbling across the finish line, was enough to make her trade her elliptical for the road. Since then she has completed numerous half marathons and full marathons, and and become a RRCA certified long distance run coach. She is a physical therapist assistant specialising in neurophysiology. Alison’s number one priority is reducing the risk of injury before toeing the start line. In this conversation we talk about: What a runner’s life means to her. The 2019 NYC marathon. Non running passions and interests. Managing challenging moments during the pandemic. What potential looks like to her. And much more... ————————————————————— Instagram: @alioop_0_o_runs ————————————————————— This episode is sponsored by NoblePro, a treadmill brand which actively represents and supports the development of a runner’s life in the running community.
