The genesis of Liquid Avatar Technologies is a global blockchain & personal identity solutions company specializing in empowering individuals to manage, control, and generate value from their biometrically-verified digital Identity, which also provides businesses and governments the ability to easily integrate digital wallets and digital identity solutions through its Liquid Avatar platform (www.liquidavatar.com) And if the story ended there, that would be more than enough to build a company on. However, as the digital universe has continued to expand, there is an ever-increasing need to verify online identity as governments and enterprises around the world prepare for the shift.  For example: In early 2021 Google announced a major shift away from precision-targeting of ads based on everything you do on the internet Ontario Government on the Release of its Digital Strategy … key themes - Launch of a digital ID credential - Digitizing government services, and - Protecting individual privacy, data rights. Ontario is one of the first jurisdictions in North America to announce that it will issue and enable digital credentials – and it has been a great experience working with the government on this both directly and through our role in membership organizations like the Trust Over IP Foundation. As a result, the Liquid Avatar Verifiable Credentials Ecosystem (LAVCE) is being built to support all participants in a digital credential ecosystem.  Almost immediately, Liquid Avatar announced a big win here by partnering with the Ontario Convenience Stores Association (OCSA) To Provide Digital Age-Verification Solutions To Over 8,000 Stores. Today, the company announced that Liquid Avatar Technologies and Ontario Convenience Stores Association (OSCA) Deliver Successful Pilot of Digital Age-Verification Solutions to Reach over 8,000 Retail Locations Smart Age enables digital credentials for identity, access, and qualifications to be verified at point-of-sale payment terminals using the same globally-accessible platform as financial, debit, and credit card transactions. The OCSA State of the Industry report, last published in December 2020 showed that in Ontario alone, there are over 72,000 full- and part-time employees selling almost $3 billion in lottery sales, representing 17% of all convenience store purchases. Dave Bryans, CEO of the OCSA commented, "Today marks an important milestone for the OCSA and the Smart Age program as our channel works to reach a success rate of 100% when restricting access to age-restricted products across our more than 8,000 convenience store locations in the province. Working with our partner, Liquid Avatar Technologies, we have been able to create an easy-to-use, first of its kind, technology to support operators and their respective communities to increase safety and security while maintaining privacy for the individual.
