In this episode, I'm joined by Carly Samach, a licensed mental health counselor, to talk about meditation, mindfulness, and the vulnerability of feeling hopeful in OCD and anxiety recovery. We discuss.. - the benefits of mindfulness and meditation as it relates to Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) - the difficulty of feeling hope in OCD and anxiety recovery - "hope exposures" and how to challenge yourself to feel the vulnerability of hope Carly Samach is a licensed mental health counselor and received her masters in Clinical Counseling from the University at Albany. Carly has worked in various mental health spaces including inpatient, intensive outpatient and outpatient care for individuals between 4-80 years old. Her current work is specialized in support for children and caretakers. A core focus of her work in the OCD community has been instilling collaborative care between children and supports to promote best results in treatment and a stronger working alliance between family members. Carly is CCATP certified, other areas of specialization include expressive therapy and mindfulness, positive psychology.
