Although our focus has heavily been on football, we can't ignore March Madness! And who better to talk to than a two-time champion and former Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four? Corey Brewer who was part of the last team to win back-to-back titles joins Bryant McFadden for a wide-ranging conversation that covers college and the pros. Corey is known for playing with a smile on his face and explains where that love of the game stems from. He also discusses the 2004 recruiting class he was a part of, one that also included Joakim Noah, Al Horford and Taurean Green for the University of Florida. The highest-ranked recruit of that bunch details when the Gators realized they could win it all in 2006, their desire to come back and try again in 2007 and where those teams stack up in college hoops history. Brewer discusses why programs simply don't even threaten to repeat anymore, the feeling of cutting down the nets and being in Gainesville during Tebowmania. As we transition to his NBA career, we cover the difficulties of going from the warmth and winning to the cold and losing (aka the Minnesota Timberwolves). Brewer's fortunes soon changed as he linked up with the Dallas Mavericks and won another title in 2011. He describes the mentality going up against the LeBron James led Heat and what it was like partying in Miami after the series-clinching victory. BMac taps into a few specific games from Corey's career including his 51-point night in 2014 and his big role in the Rockets' 3-1 series comeback vs. the Clippers in the 2015 playoffs. After nearly a decade, the swingman was reunited with his college coach Billy Donovan in Oklahoma City before some super memorable moments on a 10-day contract with the Sixers and a bubble appearance with the Kings. Corey is now a coach for the New Orleans Pelicans and details the growth of Brandon Ingram as well as the freakish athleticism of Zion Williamson. Finally, Superlatives!
