This summer has seen nations across the world battle wildfires and extreme temperatures. It now has the dubious honor of being the world’s hottest summer on record, according to the latest European Union data. This comes just as the first-ever African climate summit comes to close. Hosted by Kenya and the African Union, the event called for the establishment of a global carbon tax system.
