Introducing the Rising Sea Voices Podcast with Nick Tealer, Oregon Sea Grant 2019-2021 Natural Resources Policy Fellow

American Shoreline Podcast Network - Podcast tekijän mukaan The American Shoreline Podcast Network

Welcome to the Rising Sea Voices Podcast (RSVP) on the American Shoreline Podcast Network! Hosted by Oregon Sea Grant 2021 Resilience Fellow Felicia Olmeta-Schult, RSVP will highlight the work of undergraduate and graduate students and early-career professionals in coastal, estuarine, and ocean science and engineering. In this inaugural episode, Felicia will tell you more about RSVP goals and mission before introducing her first (and amazing) guest Nick Tealer. Nick is the Oregon Sea Grant 2019-2021 Natural Resources Policy Fellow with the Oregon Coastal Management Program and the Washington Coastal Zone Management Program. He has been assisting in the development of a Geographic Location Description (GLD). GLDs are predetermined spatial boundaries outside of the coastal zone. They are activity-specific (e.g., offshore aquaculture, sea-bed mining) and give the state authority to review federal activity within their boundaries. We hope you will enjoy this episode and join us monthly to discover new guests and their work!
