Social media CEOs grilled at tense hearing on dangers to kids online

The CEOs of several social media companies were grilled by members of Congress about the risks their products pose to children. Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham told the CEOs they have "blood on [their] hands." Parents whose children suffered or died as a result of social media were also at the hearing to listen to the executives answer tough questions from the Senate Judiciary Committee. Frances Haugen is a former Facebook product manager and was a whistleblower who released tens of thousands of pages of internal research and documents that led to a firestorm for the social media company back in 2021.
