Since then he has toured with the festival all over North America, and curated animation from all over the globe. The Spike and Mike Animation Festival has been pivotal in launching the careers of many of today’s forefront talent including Tim Burton, Nick Park, and John Lassater. Kat Alioshin has a BA in Film and Television from UC Sand Diego. Since then she has worked as a director, producer, and in special effects on numerous blockbuster stop motion projects including, The Nightmare Before Christmas, James and The Giant Peach, and Corpse Bride. Her most recent production, Animation Outlaws, is a documentary following the rise of the Spike and Mike Animation Festival.
