ANTICONQUISTA co-editors Ramiro Fúnez and Nick Ayala speak with Comrade Libre about the revolutionary history of Puerto Rico. We discuss Boricua resistance to Spanish colonialism and U.S. imperialism. In Part 2 of this two-part series, we cover everything from the mid 20th century to the present. Comrade Libre is an Afro-Boricua poet and communist based out of Miami, Florida, whose organizing involves theory and action. Comrade Libre is also with the Troika Kollective, which is a group of Latin American and Caribbean people laboring to counter imperialist domination and provide popular education in defense of the Global South.
