023: Hiking while Pregnant and Gillespie Pass with Alice

Aotearoa Adventures: The New Zealand Travel Podcast - Podcast tekijän mukaan Abigail Hannah - Perjantaisin

After being away for ten years, Alice recently moved back to the deep south, an hour from the farm she grew up on. She loves how close she's located to prime hiking locations - Fiordland, Stewart Island, the Catlins, and even Mt Aspiring. We chat about her experience hiking during pregnancy and Alice shares her advice, "unless your doctor or midwife have told you not to, don't listen to random people saying you shouldn't be hiking, you know your body best." Alice also shares about her multi-day trip hiking Gillespie Pass and Crucible Lake which ended with a jet boat ride down the Wilkin River. If a four day hike isn't your thing, you can fly and land into the Siberia Valley! Thank you so much for tuning in and coming along for the ride. If you love the show and enjoyed listening, please take the time to leave a review on Apple or Spotify. I would also love to connect with you, so send me a DM on Instagram, leave me a voice message and I can’t wait to see you next time.
