This week Hayden and Brendan review all the commons and rares for the upcoming limited set Part the Mistviel; Each card gets a rating from A to D. A is the best of the best, these cards are ones that will be the focal point of your deck in limited and have an impact more so then any other card in a game. You might think of these as “bombs” in FAB context these are auto includes, things that make you want to actively pursue the class if they are class specific - Think Refraction Bolters, Enlightened Strike, Crippling Crush, Heartened Cross strap, Drone of Brutality, Soul Reaping, V of the Vanguard, Awakening. These cards won’t necessarily stand alone and win you the game, but could swing a turn, gain massive advantage, help initiate a massive pivot turn, create huge setup situations and/or allow other cards to shine because of them. UPR would be Fyendals fighting spirit, Sash of Sandikai, Red Brothers. OUTSIDERS - Death Touch Red, Infectious Host Red, Lace with Bloodrot, Shake Down, Mechanical Strength, Hydraulic Press, Torque Tuned, Bare Fangs Red, Good Time Chapeau, Prized GaleaWith the right combination of attack reactions and attack actions Refraction Bolters can be pivotal in a huge double weapon attack turn to push damage and get a dawnblade counter, or even kill the opponent. Without it you need another card to get that go again effect. Soul reaping can for example paired with strong blood debt cards and perhaps a 2nd go again source deliver a massive pivot turn. B’s are above average role players, and cards important to an overall strategy for any given hero, or in the form of a generic. These cards could also be super efficient, above rate cards or even cards that can support maximising your A’s - examples would be Take Flight red, Warmongers Recital, Gallantry Gold, Sink Below red, Snatch, Scar for a Scar, Goliath Gauntlets, Disable Blue, Salvage Shot Red, Plunder Run red, Turn Timber, Bramble Spark and Ball Lightning Embermaw Cenapai red, Mounting Anger Red, Aether hail blue and red. OUTSIDERS: Red Twin Twisters, Infecting Shot Red, Infect Red, Junkyard Dog, Out Pace, Evo Charging Rods, Wild Ride red and yellow, raw meat, stonewall impasse, concuss red C’s are your true role players, they will make up most of your deck and support your overall plan, provide good resources, help defensively or be an OK attack, or support action. These are cards like Ghostly Visit, Smash with Big Tree, Cross the Line, Brandish red, Come to Fight red and blue, Cadaverous Contraband, Sink Below yellow, Throttle red, Scalding Rain red and blue, Smash Instinct Yellow, Debilitate blue, Surging Strike red, Shock Striker,Frost Fang, Earthlore Surge, Brain Freeze Blue, Dust Runner outlaw, Miragi. OUTSIDERS: Sedate Red, Surging Strike Red, Skybound Shot red, or spire sniping blue, Dumpster Dive, hadron collider, Test of Strength, Agile Engagment, Wage Vigor yellow D’s are the cards you want to play as little of as possible, pure filler with no real upside, these cards don’t do much and are often only in the deck to make up numbers as resources or a card to defend with. Examples are Seek Horizon Yellow, Frontline scout, Memorial Ground, Outmuscle Yellow, Nimble strike blue, Wounded Blow yellow, Sharpen Steel blue, Head Jab yellow, Emerging Power yellow, Bloodspill Invocation blue, Rejuvenate Blue, Chill to the Bone Yellow Yellow brain freeze, yellow sand cover, rebellious rush, liquefy at the minus end OUTSIDERS: Bleed out yellow, Blue brush off, Spinning wheel kick blue, Cognition field yellow, Zero to Fiffty, Evo Buzz Hive, Adrenaline rush, bare fangs blue, yellow performance bonus Set up grade - we will also give some cards set up grades, so a grade but contingent only on getting the right supporting build to see this card realise its full potential in a limited deck.
