Today’s episode is an on air coaching call in which I help Eveline, a mom of 2 kids, an almost 13 year old daughter and a 10 year old son to find new ways of teaching her kids:
- how to be more responsible,
- to curb back talk,
- teach respect while staying away from coercion and parental control
"When we control our children, we lose our influence."
She wants to be able to communicate more consciously and elicit willing cooperation. As well as, set boundaries without dishing out empty threats and punishments.
We also discuss the importance of making agreements with our kids, specifically screen time contracts, involving them in the process as much as possible, working with our kids, being on their side as oppose to being against them. And what’s the deal with consequences?
