Green tree branches swayed in the gentle breeze. The birds flew and fluttered through the wind, happy that the sun was out.   It seemed everyone in the Ahway Island Forest was out and about, enjoying the beautiful weather. Everyone that is, except Morgan Mole, who was hard at work digging tunnels not far from the river. Morgan loved digging around the river where the dirt was cool and moist. Cool dirt was the best kind of dirt for digging, in Morgan’s mind.   Recently, Morgan had been digging extra hard to find sticks for a new nest. The right selection of sticks would help create a nest that was big and sturdy and could last all year. Morgan had already found a few sticks in the days before. But the nest wasn't quite ready yet. More sticks and twigs were needed. So bright and early this morning, Morgan had begun the quest to find the perfect sticks to make the perfect nest.
