Lydia practices piano with Ruby June and discovers that not everyone learns the same way. Narrator: Female Story Begins: 4:07 Memorable Music Excerpt: It was a sunny afternoon on Ahway Island. Lydia Hamadou was sitting at the kitchen table. She had just gotten back from a fun-filled day at school. She swung her legs under the table and reached into her purple backpack. She pulled out her blue folder and opened it up. Inside sat a white piece of paper with black lines and dots on it. It was sheet music! Ms. Bonnie had given the new song to Lydia before school had ended. Lydia wanted to try practicing it before her piano lesson with Ms. Bonnie later today. Lydia was excited to learn the new song. Someday, she wanted to perform it on the big stage at the school. Today’s Meditation: Relax as you imagine sunlight warming you as you lie in a grassy meadow.
