New thinking is needed to ensure high-quality nature-based carbon dioxide removal (CDR) offers genuine and long-lasting benefits to the climate and biodiversity, says Amy Luers, global director for sustainability science at Microsoft Corporation during a C2GTalk. Large-scale removal through CDR technologies lies further ahead, although most of the basic technologies already likely exist.
