You see something shiny on the interwebs and have to have it. So, you get it.. but then there is something new/better/shinier/warmer/cooler available that's guaranteed to make you sound better because hey, that Pete Thorn (or insert your favorite youtube demo-er here) video sounded A-MAZING, and you have to havethat, so the old piece of gear that you loved last week takes a back seat. You would be surprised just how many prototypes Brian makes to produce a Wampler pedal.
It is easy to look at a schematic and say "That's a tubescreamer" based on its components, but that may not always be accurate. The guys explain why.
And you hear this sort of comment quite a bit: "Hendrix or SRV didn't need all this gear to get their sound." It is a conversation worth having, so we did.
