Risky Disko - using funk and disco to classic house balearic no wave and psychedelic as a framework for their sets
DEEP HOUSE LOUNGE - EXCLUSIVE DEEP HOUSE MUSIC PODCAST - Podcast tekijän mukaan Bryon Stout: deep house music guru
Risky Disko is Philadelphia DJs Greg D and Crouse. Their journey began through a mutual friendship and love for classic disco and house music. Using these genres as a framework for their sets, they take inspiration from whatever groove suits the mood. Pulling from funk and disco, to classic house, balearic, no wave and psychedelic, this duo has taken the time to understand how the dance floor has changed over the years. Both strive for the new and different, no matter how classic or current the period is in which it originated.
In 2013, Risky Disko earned a residency at The Dolphin Tavern where they currently host a monthly party, Try It Out. The party has included guest DJs such as Juan MacLean, Lovefingers, Rory Phillips, Sleazy Mcqueen, Joe Goddard, Joakim, Medlar, Moonboots, Eric Duncan and Holy Ghost!. In 2014, Risky Disko started a monthly party called The Wet Boogie, hosted at Ortlieb’s Bar.
Their goal: to guide you on a journey through the decades…but be prepared…like all great journeys, there involves some element of RISK.
