Nick Tuffley: ASB Chief Economist ahead of the release of the September GDP figures

New Zealand's GDP is predicted to see a minor pre-Christmas bump. Stats NZ will release the September quarter figures later this morning. Gross Domestic Product rose 0.9% in the June quarter. ASB Chief Economist, Nick Tuffley, told Tim Dower that he's forecasting a 0.2% increase, as recent indicators point to flat growth. He says while the economy's expanding, it still feels like a recession for a lot of people. Tuffley says generally GDP has been edging backwards for the last year, so it's challenging.
