Regular attendance is still at lower rates than in 2019, before Covid-19. Education Ministry data shows just 47% of students were regularly at school in term two. That's down from 59.5% in term one, but an increase on 40% in term two last year. Te Tai Tokerau Principals Association President Pat Newman told Roman Travers that it's about illness.
