We can really never truly feel a sense of belonging if we are constantly betraying ourselves. You might have heard of the term self-sabotage and wondered what that even means. Well, it’s actually the same thing as betraying yourself. And part of that self-sabotage is having that feeling that you’re not worthy of anything. You’re not worthy of being loved or worthy of loving yourself. You can mask the pain with all the substances and relationships you have, but that will never go away unless you face it head-on. Look at the things you might be running from and ways in which you are sabotaging and betraying your own sense of belonging. It takes time, it takes work, and it takes support. But you can definitely start this journey of silencing self-sabotage by reaching out to others who might also be silencing their own selves through their own self-sabotage.
