126. Resiliency #8: Core Needs and Resiliency

Security, identity, belonging and purpose, and competence are essential. Dr. Kathy notes that purpose is discovered as you live life. When kids believe that God created them for a purpose, they will be willing to live life more fully and help them put their weaknesses into scope. If children are secure, know their identity, have a sense of belonging, and know their purpose, they will want to be competent and resilient and quickly bounce back from the challenges.
