Caring for Kids in an Age of School Shootings - Dr. Kathy Reflects on the Covenant School Shooting - Facing the Dark Ep 61

Tragedy struck a church community as Audrey Hale entered Covenant School in Nashville Monday, killing three children and three adults. Metropolitan Nashville Police quickly responded to the incident, fatally shooting Hale on the second floor of the school building. Three nine-year-olds, Evelyn Dieckhaus, William Kinney, and Hallie Scruggs died of wounds inflicted by Hale. Three adults, Mike Hill, 61, Cynthia Peak, 61, and Katherine Koonce, 60 also passed away in the incident. Many will reflect on the scenarios that led Hale to perform this heinous act. Others will unpack what occurred and carve pathways for society to move forward in a world that tries to make sense of the confusion so many feel.  In all this, parents and adults working with kids will take brave steps to continue raising children.
