Sexual Assault and Caring for Kids - Dr. Kathy Reflects on Society's Call for Greater Consent - Facing the Dark Ep. 066

April is sexual assault awareness month. What is often said during this month is we need to equip teens with better sex education. For many, the issue isn't sexual misunderstanding but a lack of sexual consent.  Dr. Kathy considers the push to give more tools around consent without teaching kids the place for intimate relationships and role of friendship and other relationship spheres in conjunction with the sexual relationship sphere. Dr. Kathy also gives parents and adult leaders some fundamental practices to employ as we encounter young people who have been victims of sexual assault.
