She led Vanity Fair magazine as its first female editor-in-chief, bringing the magazine back from near extinction and turning it into something glossy that mixed celebrities and glamour with news and politics in a way that nobody had really done before. She’s also the only woman to have ever edited the New Yorker. Most recently, she founded Women in the World—a summit that brings together luminaries from Michelle Obama to Meryl Streep to Oprah Winfrey.
