Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. Gifts of Christmas – 3 – The Gift of Joy Introduction:As we talk about the gifts of Christmas, we cannot forget about Joy. Joy is just one more of the wonderful gifts that come with being a Christian. Just like peace, no person in their right mind would say that they do not desire joy. It is a universal need that all people have! We need to experience joy. The problem is that many people claim to be believers, but they have no joy in their lives. As a result, people will question God’s ability to provide such things as joy. But the truth is that many people claim to be Christian because they have asked Jesus for eternal life, but they have never committed their lives to live according to the teachings and example of Christ which is one of the main ways that we experience joy. Scripture:– Isaiah 8:11, 14 Points:1. If you reject Christ you reject joy!– Romans 8:7-82. You can’t have joy without putting Jesus first!3. You won’t have joy without serving others! Ending:As we finish up today. I just encourage you today that if joy is one of the gifts that you feel lacking in this Christmas, maybe its time to stop focusing on yourself, to focus on Christ, and start focusing on others. Joy is one of the many gifts that Christ has always intended for us to have. But we must accept the teachings of Christ and not just eternal life. We must live according to his example to experience the never-ending joy of Jesus! – Proverbs 15:13 If you would like to watch our past services, you can do so here: https://www.gcwesleyan.org/teaching/ Like and subscribe to our new YouTube channel, Graham Chapel Youth!
