Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. Gifts of Christmas – 4 – The Gift of Love Introduction:As Christmas is coming so quickly, we must be aware of the most rewarding gift that comes with accepting the gift of Jesus Christ! Love is the gift that keeps on giving! The greatest gesture of love ever given was Jesus subjecting himself to the world as a baby. Nothing is more vulnerable than a baby. Jesus who was God, who is God, who was with God and through him all things were made, subjected himself to the cruelty of man and the wickedness of his enemy Satan. He came to be born into a family with a questionable start. He was born away from his home in a place where animals were kept and fed. Yes, there were glorious moments. But never forget that they had to run for their lives and flee to Egypt to escape from Herod who wanted nothing more than to kill him. He was hated by the most important people. He was used by most people. He was tempted in all ways as man. And yet despite all of his miracles, still very few believed in him. He could have waved his hand and anialated all who opposed him. But he prayed for forgiveness because even he understood they didn’t know what they were doing. He loved us enough to endure all of the many things that we feel so weighed down by. He came for you and he came for me! Scripture:– 1 John 4:7-8 Points:1. God’s love was revealed by Jesus’ birth!– Romans 5:8-92. We get to experience that love more and more as we walk with Christ!– Colossians 3:14-153. It is a gift that we are called to receive and give!– John 13:34-35 Ending:If you don’t have that ability to love others as Christ has commanded, don’t get in a tizzy and give up! You were never supposed to have the ability to anyways. But if you are in Christ and Christ is in you and you have been filled with the Holy Spirit! You are in luck! Because God is love, and one of the fruits of the spirit is love, and God has commanded you to love! And Jesus would never call you to do something that he would not give you the ability to do! – Philippians 4:13 If you would like to watch our past services, you can do so here: https://www.gcwesleyan.org/teaching/ Like and subscribe to our new YouTube channel, Graham Chapel Youth!
