Restoration: Faith is a Must

Restoration – 2 – Faith is a Must Introduction:As we continue talking about Restoration this month and we remind ourselves that God’s greatest desire for us is to be restored! He wants you and I to be the men and women of God that he created us to be. He wants us to walk in fellowship with Him! He wants us to be free from the addictions and bondage of sin! He wants us to worship freely! He wants us to be Holy! Now that may seem very intimidating for some of us, but God doesn’t expect you to do all that on your own. He knows that you can’t. But he has provided a way. And he doesn’t expect you to be free, righteous, and holy at the blink of an eye. He knows that the restoration process takes time! He knows that you and I are a mess. He knows that we need a lot of work, and that work will take place over years and maybe even decades. But he has already paid the price, and he is very willing to do the work if you let him. But it takes a great deal of faith to open the doors of your heart and mind! Faith is a must! You cannot be restored if you do not believe that the God of the universe is able to restore you and wants to restore you. You must believe! Faith is a must! Scripture:– 2 Chronicles 7:11-15 – The Lord’s Response to Solomon Points:1. Brokenness exists to show that restoration needs to take place!– John 3:17– John 3:3 (Jesus speaking to Nicodemus)2. If are God’s, then have enough faith cry out!– James 1:5-83. God has already promised to restore!– 1 Peter 5:10-11– Zechariah 9:11-12 Ending:But do you believe? That is the question that only you can answer! Poor Jeremiah had it rough. The prophet spent years delivering the messages of the Lord and to our knowledge he only had one convert during his entire ministry.
