What does salt have to do with sacrifices?– Ezra 6:9-10– Ezekiel 43:24– Leviticus 2:132. What does salt have to do with covenants?– Numbers 18:19– 2 Chronicles 13:53. How is Jesus connecting these dots?– Romans 12:1– Matthew 5:11-13 Ending:But, you can’t be a part of the sacrifice (a part of the worship) if you have lost your saltiness! You see, only the best can be brought to God and offered as something that is pure and holy! If you have lost your saltiness, then you will be thrown out and trampled underfoot. As you sit here this morning you need to know that you have the opportunity to be the salt! You have the opportunity to be something valuable that is added to an amazing and perfect sacrifice. Or you lose your saltiness and are cast out. Its your choice, but you got to chose it!
