Sermon: The Life of Joseph – God’s Plan Unfolds (The Light at the End) Introduction: * Week 4 of the Life of Joseph series. * Recap of Joseph’s pain and misfortunes. * Today’s focus: Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Scripture: * Genesis 41:1-17a * Genesis 41:25-32 * Genesis 41:37-40 (Joseph Made Ruler of Egypt) Points: * God always reveals His plans: * God never operates in secret; He gives us a heads-up on His plans. * Major biblical events are always preceded by warnings or prophecies. * Psalm 32:8-9: God guides us and gives us clarity. * God reveals things to people who don’t follow Him: * Sometimes God reveals His plans to those who do not serve Him. * Genesis 41:25, 28: God revealed the future to Pharaoh. * Acts 2:17-18: God can speak to unexpected people. * God only gives clarity to those who follow Him: * Only those who walk closely with God can truly understand His plans. * Joseph was needed to interpret Pharaoh’s dreams. * Godly people affirm God’s plans, providing clarity. * There was something different about Joseph: * Genesis 41:38: Joseph was filled with the Spirit of God. * Joseph’s faithfulness eventually revealed his true character. * Philippians 4:8: We should be different from the world. * God always brings His plans to fruition: * Despite Joseph’s hardships, God positioned him for greatness. * Joseph remained faithful and was ready when God’s plan unfolded. * Romans 8:28: God works all things for the good of those who love Him. Closing: * God can and will use your trials for His glory if you stay faithful. * Reflect on your circumstances and ask what God is preparing you for. * Remain faithful and be ready to step up when God calls.
