Professor David Nutt is the neuro-psycho-pharmacologist specialising in the research of drugs, that affect addiction, anxiety, and depression. Nutt is the deputy head of the Centre for Psychedelic Research at Imperial College London, alongside Dr. Robin Carhart-Harris and Dr. Rosalind Watts, both of whom recently appeared on the show. In 2009, he famously asserted that “ecstasy and LSD were less harmful than alcohol.” And was subsequently fired from the government Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs.
