The Covenant

In the past, covenants were binding agreements between two parties. When the just-freed Israelites gathered at Mt. Sinai, the Lord established a covenant to signify that they were His people. At the Mount, the people said, "All that the Lord has said we will do." Although the people disobeyed, the covenant stood for centuries and the Lord fulfilled His promises to them. Let's look at this relationship of God to Israel and see how it relates to us today.
