Watchfulness

I grew up hearing "Are you ready for Jesus to come?" I thought that meant making sure I was following the rules of religion. But Jesus calls us to be watchful for we don't know when He is coming. But perhaps being ready isn't about following the rules but doing loving acts of service to others.
