NZ Housing Market Wobbles / News of the Money-World Ep #32

When property lending slows, the economy won't be far behind. My view is that NZ is already well and truly in recession already. In order to kill inflation, rather than dealing with the harder (longer-term solution) of improving productivity, we're going to have to endure significantly higher borrowing costs for a season. This smacks of owning less and being happy with less, which makes me wonder what the skill-set is of those in charge of policy decisions both at the RBNZ and our 'government'.
