Stacy Madison is an entrepreneur who gained recognition for creating Stacy’s Pita Chips & later, Be Bold Bars. With a Masters in Social Work, Stacy was selling pita sandwiches with her partner out of a converted hot dog cart in Boston, when they suddenly found themselves with an abundance of leftover pita bread at the end of the day.Instead of tossing the bread, Stacy decided to bake the leftover bread into chips adding flavours in the process, and began handing them out for free to those in line for sandwiches. But, when she found out people were happy to pay for the chips, the business quickly grew and eventually was sold to the Pepsi Company for $250m.Jeff and Stacy discuss her adventurous life leading her to this point, as well as the meaning of “BOLD”, and what it means to be an entrepreneur in a changing world.
