Dow tops 44,000, S&P 500 hits 6,000 in week of market milestones after Trump election win 11/08/24

The Dow and S&P 500 climbed to new records today, headed for their best week in a year after Donald Trump’s election win. Stocks also got a boost from the Fed this week, as the central bank lowered interest rates by a quarter point on Thursday.
