Get to Know Patricia: A Work in Progress

PowerHouse Feng Shui Podcast - Podcast tekijän mukaan Patricia Lohan - Maanantaisin

I'm super excited to share with you some insights today.   I was thinking about the fact that we're always a work in progress, and there's always going to be something that needs to be improved on.   It's a big thing like learning to swim was a huge thing for my parents because my mom had had a scare when she was younger around swimming so she was really determined that we would learn to swim.   But you know, even now, how it will work in life and right now with everything that's going on, it's nice to reflect and see like how far we have come and notice how much progress we've actually made.   If you can go back to the first time you learn to swim or the first time you cycle the bike or even in our own lives, our own journeys, in our careers and our businesses that were always a work in progress.   And what I love to think about achieving the things we want is also to kind of enjoy part of it.   I have to admit that oftentimes on the journey, I often get really frustrated.   Now that I think about those drives, I'm like, God! I wish that I enjoyed it more during those times. You know, we'd actually just looked up the journey and seen how every single day we're making progress.   And that mantra that goes with it and every day in every way we’re getting better and better and really affirming God.   There's a lot of people going through a lot of different experiences and they probably never experience what you have.   Like couples being in the house all the time together with their children, working from home minding two children or more children or however many children?   How can we turn it around to actually enjoy it even more into our daily life?   First of all, seeing how far we've come?   I just think about like the first time I started doing Facebook Lives, and I'd be in the garden doing them. The wind's blowing and nobody hears me and I would never stand for it, and I just wouldn't be as prepared .   Oh my god, but you know, we're just a work in progress.   Even the first few people that joined my facebook group.   It was just like, oh my god, it's amazing!!!   And now there's like, over 8000 women in there   Everything is a journey.   All we have to do every day is just show up and take some action.   Don’t take it as a ugggghh!! Rather take it as “what can I do to enjoy this journey and enjoy what's going on right now?”   How can we turn this and make this as an opportunity and be part of this work in progress to improve it to see it as a good thing.   So I'd love to hear what your insights are.   Today I pulled some cards. The first one was the sense of humor card.   We have to sometimes just laugh at ourselves and just laugh at this crazy situation and think how could we make this better?   We're being invited to lovingly laugh at our experience, laugh at the things we've done, the things that we've just been so embarrassed about, and how we can realize that we are just a work in progress.   We are human beings, not human doers.   The other card is read. This is a really important card right now because we can judge everybody.   We can judge the people who are going out meeting their friends   We can judge the people who are not wearing masks outside.   We can judge the government for putting the rules.   We can just make all that stuff.   We're all on our own personal journey and whatever our choices are, we just have to be in a place of just compassion.   Let’s just be more gentle and less hard on ourselves.   If we're NOT doing what we're meant to be doing, it's going to be a lot more difficult.   The other card is the goddess of the moon.   In this time of dark, once this all passes and this too shall pass we'll definitely be able to dig deeper from ourselves, have more clarity about what it is I want, and be moving forward to more ease.   Thanks for being here!   Do have a look and see how far you've come with something you've started. How far have you come? And I know you may not be there yet, but we are all a work in progress.   Let's connect Website Instagram Facebook Group
