The latest economic indicators. On Wednesday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released its Consumer Price Index (CPI) report for May, which showed an increase of 3.3% from a year earlier, slightly slower than April’s 3.4% rate. On a month-to-month basis, prices remained the same for the first time since July 2022.
