Are you someone who loves Blue Boston Terriers? If you are like me, you probably didn't know this type of Boston even existed.

I actually learned about this type of Boston only a few months ago. It was on an online forum where I saw someone asking about special health issues related to Colored Boston Terriers. This led me to do more research about Blue Boston's.

What I Stumbled Upon

In my research, I found Cypress Farm Kennel. This farm is not just about breeding Boston's. Krystin and her mother, Linda, run Cypress Farm Kennel in the most ethical and loving way.

Brief History

Krystin first fell in love with “non-standard” colored Boston Terriers in 2004 while in college. She was flipping through a Doctor Fosters & Smith Magazine one day and found a photo of a chocolate and white Boston, she was in love.

From that day on, she has been searching and absorbing any book or article related to Boston Terriers. The photo below is a sample of her book collection.

Krystin obtained her first breeding pair of Boston Terriers in 2005. Since that time, she has done many things:

  • Founded the All Colored Boston Terrier Club.
  • Participated in genetics testing to help further our DNA understanding of Blue Boston’s.
  • She has helped authors develop chapters of their book regarding Boston Colors. Here is the book on Amazon, Boston Terrier Smart Owners Guide.
  • Published a learning series online to educate people about colored Boston’s. Find the articles here, Boston Terrier Coat Colors.
  • In 2008, She was the first to show a Colored Boston Terrier in a modern-day conformation (dog show).
  • In 2016, she was the first to get a champion title for her Blue Brindle Boston puppy at the International All Breed Canine Association dog show.
  • In 2017, she was the first to get a champion title for her Blue Brindle Boston adult at the International All Breed Canine Association dog show.

This is just a little bit of what she has done. If you want the full scoop listen to the podcast as well as visit her biography on her site here, Krystin’s Bio.
