Showing up in your business (or even in life) can be hard. With so many responsibilities tugging on us and the distraction of social media, it can be hard to simply show up. Jessie Harris Bouton joins me for a conversation to discuss how you can show up as who you need to be to achieve what you desire most. Listen in as she shares about navigating major career changes along with how she continues to show up through every life change. How can I do less better? Jessie Harris Bouton is a wife and mom of 5, 17-year entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, certified life and business growth strategist and former professional 300+mph race car driver. After a major career and life change left Jessie lost, depressed and wanting more, she revolutionized her life through the power of intentional living techniques to one more in tune with her dreams. Jessie passionately started empowering other women who were moms to create more meaning, money and freedom in their life as well by building their businesses with simple, high-impact systems. Jessie famously shares how, over the years, she has cried more tears raising her businesses than her babies, which is why she was determined to revolutionize what successful entrepreneurship looked like by doing less better rather than all the things. She believes that women can HAVE IT ALL – be an amazing wife, mom and epic business woman all at the same time… without the guilt or crazy hours and demands. Jessie has built not one, but two (both a brick and mortar and online) businesses to over 7-figures working only 20 hours per week from anywhere. She is known as the ‘Millionaire Mompreneur’, teaching moms in business all over the world how to turn their calling into a career with a duplicatable step-by-step branding, marketing, and sales system so they can stand out in their industry and increase their impact and income but not their to-do list. Why Showing Up Is Hard Showing up is hard—especially now more than ever. With so many responsibilities and critics out there, it’s easy to simply push showing up aside, but what is it that is making it hard? In many cases, the responsibilities and people in our lives are pulling us so many different directions, that we’re never able to give 100% to one thing. Sometimes we’re left wondering if we had one less thing to worry about, would we be able to do, be, or accomplish more. Additionally, while social media can be an amazing place for connection and entertainment, it’s also a very distracting component of our lives. It’s distracting in a number of ways to different people, but how is it distracting you from showing up? Overcoming Challenges The challenge of showing up is hard, but let’s find a way to overcome it with systems. Systems simplify processes and processes are the pathway to power. Take control of what you want. Creating Systems Let’s talk about building these systems based on psychology and mechanics. Did you know that it takes you 20 minutes to get into the flow of doing something. Therefore, if you show up to do something, it takes you 20 minutes to get into the flow and get motivated to complete the task. How can you show up and complete everything you need to? Create a system of dedication and batching. Remember, you have to personalize your systems in order to make them work for you.
