You don’t need to be on every social platform or creating content 24/7 in order to generate consistent design clients. Let’s break up with marketing techniques that aren’t life-giving for you, but rather enjoyable and do bring in the valuable leads and the ideal clients you want. In this special episode, I’m doing something I’ve never done before and sharing this challenge replay that I hosted at the end of 2021. So, even if you weren’t part of the challenge or part of my Facebook group, you’re in for a special treat today as I share how to generate consistent design clients. Let’s dive in to this episode where I’m walking you through my exact strategy. How to Generate Consistent Design Clients? You have an ideal client in mind, so let’s make sure we’re not only trying to land them, but to consistently land them. As we go through this exercise, think through your brand and what you can manage. What’s Your Goal? When we think through our goal, it allows us to focus on all of the things we’ll need to do in order to achieve that goal. This goal could be to have a few clients a month or it could be to book bigger projects. How Are You Generating Sales? Now that you know your goal, let’s think through how you’re generating or closing sales. What is the process right before you book a new client? Are you sending them an email, jumping on a call with them, receiving an application, or maybe you’re meeting in person for a coffee consult. When you know you’re process, it can lead you to understanding what hindering a client and how you can better serve and sell to them. How Are You Generating Leads As important as generating those sales and clients are, we have to take it a step backwards. How are you getting them into that process? How are they inquiring? It is through a contact form, a CRM, a phone call, etc.? Driving Traffic Now, we’ll take it a step before that, how are you getting that traffic that is converting into leads? It might be that you’re a guest on podcasts, you’ve organically earned them through social media or SEO, or you’re running ads. Here’s an unpopular opinion though, in order to generate traffic, you don’t need to be everywhere at once. By being on every single platform, you’re diluting the efforts of your work and putting yourself on a content creation hamster wheel. So, how do we create a balance and a system that works for us? Focus on one traffic generation method. There are two strategies you need for generating traffic: short-term and long-term. Short-Term Strategy A short-term strategy is know for generating traffic quickly. The more eyes that are on your work and the quicker, the better. Most of the time, this comes from a referral network, most social media platforms, etc. Long Term Strategy A long-term strategy involves heavy lifting up front, yet generates more qualified leads over a longer period of time. A few long-term strategy approaches include a Youtube channel, a podcast, being a guest on podcasts, creating a live series with replays, and even Pinterest. Let’s take a step back and look at what you’re doing. Is it working? Is it not? This is your permission to break up with the platform that isn’t working for you...
