It’s that time of year! We are out of the start of the school year honeymoon period and we’re about to be thrust into the holiday season. We’re just stuck in October. So what’s nourishing your soul in this season? It’s time for a breath of fresh air to bring a little new life into your month!  This isn’t about doing more…it’s about being intentional about how you spend your time and making an effort to choose activities that actually bring life to our souls!  What’s Nourishing Our Soul: Business Our businesses go through different seasons of busy-ness. Lisa’s season of being really busy is the summer into fall. For her, this can lead to mid-fall burnout. Her fun activity has been to watch the old TV show Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman while she edits. While it might slow her work down a little, it motivates her to keep plowing through all the pictures!  For Sarah, she’s been in business for 2+ years and it has been a season of asking “what would I do if I started my business today?” It has been a time to explore and listen to God’s voice and seeing where he leads, without any expectations, but anticipating where he is going to lead.  What’s Nourishing Our Soul: Personal Growth For Sarah, this has looked like getting back into running. In the past, she would go all-out in a very intense way that would often lead to burnout or injury. This summer, she decided to use the Couch 2 5K App with no measuring of pace or distance - just get outside and get moving. It has been a game changer! For Lisa, she has been working on memorizing scripture. She subscribes to a program called Dwell (not an affiliate link) that helps you memorize scripture. In addition, she took a marriage course called Marriage Thrive with her husband that has been so encouraging.  What’s Nourishing Our Soul: Rhythm & Routines For Sarah, this season has meant a lot of time on the road driving her two teenagers all over creation. So that has meant letting go of some rhythms and routines instead of trying to do it all. Lisa started some fun rhythms at the start of the year, and those New Year’s Resolutions that she has kept up! One is reading through the bible with The Bible Recap with Tara-Leigh Cobble. In addition, she has been focusing on her health and following a disciplined routine. What’s Nourishing Our Soul: Bonus Category What’s nourishing your soul in this season? Here are a few bonus practices we have that didn’t fall into any of the other categories. Lisa has been in a book club that’s been really fun. And Sarah has been purposefully enjoying some time with her husband while he looks for a job. Whatever it is for you - start doing it today!  Want to nourish your soul in December?
