The one where it's our 6-year anniversary! Plus a review of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

This is a milestone for The Flixters because it’s our 6-year anniversary!  On today’s show we review Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, a film franchise that has produced some of the most iconic moments in film history. I still get goosebumps just thinking about the ending of the original 1968 planet film starring Charlton Heston.  In 2024, the apes are back, but things are different. Set decades after the events of War for the Planet of the Apes (2017), this planet film takes the franchise into a new direction. There’s the expected huge battle scenes, visually stunning special effects, and at the heart of the story, a bond between humans and apes.  Makes for a great combo, but is the film worth watching?  Listen to the show to find out what we thought!  On Anniversary Corner we look back at Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014).
