On this episode of the podcast I had a really engaging conversation with my friend Alyssa Gruber. We discuss the intersection of spirituality and mental health, and admit that sometimes "awakening" to the true nature of reality and spirit can be a messy ordeal. We talk about the importance of a daily practice and having a "lifeline", someone one can reach out to for support, if life gets overwhelming. Alyssa holds a BA in Psychology from Reed College, a MA in Counseling Psychology from Lewis & Clark College, a MA in Psychology from The New School University and PhD matriculation in Psychology from The New School University. Alyssa, as psychological and spiritual wellness counselor, specializes in addiction recovery, trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, body disorders, abuse recovery, and marriage/family counseling. She works with clients to help them overcome past trauma, to build resilience; so they can live fully and joyfully in the present moment. Alyssa additionally teaches meditation as path to healthy living. She believes that the body, mind, soul triad points us to the concept that everything is interconnected. With over 20 years experience, Alyssa is expert in facilitating growth and clarity, equipping clients with the suite of skills needed to heal, and thereby achieve the life of their dreams.Share this episode with as many in your community that would benefit from an enlightening conversation about mental wellness and peace of mind. You can connect with Alyssa and her work at:https://www.alyssagruberwellness.com/aboutShow your direct support of The Jai Sugrim Method on Patreon:www.patreon.com/jaisugrimTrain daily with Jai in online yoga classes via Zoom:https://jaisugrim.com/daily-practice/follow jai on social for daily inspiration and tips: @jaisugrimHave a beautiful day everyone
