Welcome to this week’s episode of The Troubadour.  Imagine, if you will, being born an American citizen but then spending the majority of your youth in a third world country in Africa.  Imagine if spending time in the Serengeti watching all of the wild creatures and animals that Africa has to offer was maybe just your version of a typical weekend as a kid.  This is the true-life experience of today’s guest, Garrett Owen.  The son of a missionary, Garrett had what most Americana Singer-Songwriters would consider a pretty amazing and unique childhood. Coming back stateside in his late teens, Garrett ended up studying music at South Plains College in Levelland, TX and is now grinding away at a career as a professional musician. This episode is another example of why I love what Carly and I are doing so much with this podcast.  There is so much more to these artist’s life-stories that just simply can’t be grasped by listening to their music, catching a live show or two, or by reading a bio on their respective websites.  I have to say Garrett’s history is one of the most unique we’ve had yet. Here comes Episode #95 of The Troubadour, featuring Mr. Garrett Owen. All of the Garrett’s social media links, music and merch can be explored by going to his website at https://www.garrett-owen.com/ Hope you enjoy the episode! How YOU can support the podcast!
