On the 4th December 1979, Teresa De Simone went out to a nightclub with her friend. She went back to her car but did not return home that evening. The next day her body was found on the back seat of her car; she had been murdered. An investigation began and police would interview around 30 000 people. They eventually arrested a man named Sean Hodgson who had confessed to the crime. He would spend 27 years in prison for the murder but in 2008 new evidence came to light which made everyone question what had really gone wrong in the investigation. Important information provided by: http://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWCA/Crim/2009/490.htmlhttps://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/4976937/Man-jailed-for-murder-27-years-ago-could-be-longest-miscarriage-of-justice.htmlhttps://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4203445.The_clues_that_could_lead_to_Teresa_De_Simone_s_killer/https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/briefing/teresa_de_simone/4634621.Background_to_the_life_of_Teresa_s_killer/http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/hampshire/8196630.stmhttps://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4708160.No_investigation_into_police_handling_of_Teresa_inquiry/https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/briefing/teresa_de_simone/4203427.The_Ad_that_led_to_freedom/https://www.theguardian.com/society/2009/apr/29/sean-hodgson-release-prisonhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Teresa_De_SimoneMusic by: www.dl-sounds.comFollow us on social media:Twitter- @theunseenpodFacebook- The Unseen PodcastInstagram - TheUnseenPod
