Jonathan Abrams is the co-founder and General Partner of 8-Bit Capital, a seed investing firm based in San Francisco. After working at Netscape and Nortel, he started his entrepreneurial path by founding Friendster, the pioneering social media service that is widely known as the predecessor to Myspace and Facebook. At its peak, Friendster had over 115M registered users across the globe and raised over $48M from leading investors such as Kleiner Perkins, Benchmark, and IDG. He is also the co-founder and Managing Partner of Founders Den, the founder of Socializr, and founder of the professional news discovery service Nuzzel. He has enjoyed a successful career as an active angel investor. He has invested in over 50 startups including AngelList, Docker, Front, HelloSign, Instacart, Mixmax, Slideshare, and Zeplin. In his free time, Jonathan serves on the boards of several organizations such as Girls in Tech, and mentors entrepreneurs at Stanford, Berkeley, Techstars amongst others.
