TVC 466.1: Tony, Donna, and Ed remember the Loma Prieta earthquake that occurred in Northern California on Oct. 17, 1989. The 6.9-magnitude quake caused sixty-three deaths; injured 3,757 people; damaged or destroyed homes, buildings, and major thoroughfares throughout the San Francisco Bay Area; and halted the 1989 World Series between the San Francisco Giants and the Oakland A’s for ten days.
